What breed would you suggest I get for white eggs?

    just check the box for white eggs then pick the other traits you want then it will tell you which breeds are good for you. Just for the info, birds that lay white eggs tend to be less docile on average than brown egg layers.

White Leghorns are the most common layers of white eggs.  I started out with Leghorns and they were great layers, however, I thought they were boring and switched to more colorful breeds.  I now have eight hens, five different breeds.  I'm waiting for four Aracaunas to start laying, I think they'll be old enough any day now.

    There are Leghorns in other colors, but the White Leghorns are reputed to be the best layers, laying approximately 300 eggs in a year.  They don't get broody, so it isn't hard to collect their eggs.  Leghorns have been bred for egg laying for so long that they have become a one-purpose chicken, they aren't good meat chickens.
