Mailed or not?

My ex roommate decided it would be fun to borrow my Tiffany & Co necklace one weekend. Needless to say, she ended up making up excuses to not return it when finally I told her to mail it. It's been a month now since we moved out of our place, and she told me she mailed it a long time ago. She wont provide any tracking number or receipt for mailing...is there any way possible to find out if it was lost in the mail or even sent period?

You can only track certain type of mail (registered, certified, insured, priority, express mail) and if you request. But if she mailed it (which I doubt it) by regular mail it cannot be tracked.

Make better choices in friends or don't land anything that you want back.
