Mailing a roll of quaters?

i know this might sound a bit weird but a co-woker wants to mail a roll of "State" quaters to her "old" aunt...via the US post office. Is that possible??

Reason I'm asking is that she isn't sure if she can do that and she doesn't know when the next time she'll see her aunt.

  1. you can mail what ever you want through usps as long as its not hazardous. just put them in an envelope or box and mail them out.

  2. I don't think you are supposed to mail money through the USPS.  Money Orders are fine, but actual currency (dollars, cents) is not allowed.

I'm not 100% sure, though, so it may be a good idea to contact your local post office.

  3. Yes, it is. Just make sure you wrap them in a safe manner. These coins are often sold by mail order companies even though they will never be of any real value. There's just too many of them out there.
