Question:

Mailing something to a hotel in Mexico??

This question probably depends on a lot of things, but I have to mail something to a staff member at a large resort hotel in Mexico. I don't have his last name, but I know his department (and I know he is the only person with his name in his department). If I put his name on the envelope, what are the odds of him receiving it and it not getting lost in the hotel? Are hotels diligent in sorting mail? I'm sure it depends on the hotel, but I didn't know if hotels had mail screening systems or something. Thanks!

  1. Phone the Hotel and ask, "May I speak with Miguel....mmmmm...oh I forgot his lastname, he is in x*x department, what is his lastname?"

They will more likely to ask you Miguel "Ramirez" or Vazques"? or whatever Miguel (lastname) is in that department. That way you will have them give you his lastname...

you can hang up after getting his lastname if you dont want to speak with him and is surprise what you are sending.

Dont forget to say gracias before you hang up hehehe =)

  2. You will need his full name.

Send the package by DHL.  Regular mail will take for ever and he will not get it.

Why don´t you just call him and ask him his name !

    That simple.

  3. I think that the odds of him getting it are good.  Address it to the department and then underneath the department name write Atencion: Miguel or whatever his name is.
