  1. You have wires that are either shorting out to eachother or shorting out to another ground somewhere and that is blowing your fuse. You need to find the place where the insulation is worn and the wire is exposed, there may be several spots, then repair that insulation either with electrical shrink wrap or electrical tape.

By doing that it should fix your problem.

I would say it is somewhere within the starting system.

Trace the wires from the battery to the starter motor, if the motor doesn't turn over at all before the fuse blows then the problem should be between the battery and starter motor. Of course with how fast electricity travels that isn't always true. Take a good look at the wires that make up your starting circuit. Battery to start button and starter motor and everything back to ground.

Hopefully that helps you out and all the wire colors and wire diagram should be in the service manual you have.

    Good luck!
