Mainly for Cubs fans, but any answer is appreciated

As a Cubs fan, I have absolutely no confidence in the Cubs winning today. Why? That useless piece of sh*t Marquis is pitching. Does anybody else agree they should replace him with either Marshall or Samardzija in the rotation or just get rid of him somehow?

  1. Marquis=a bag full of c**p

The Cubs would be much better off if they let one of the young pitchers pitch....and they should trade Marquis.

If Jeff Samardzija started, I would be the happiest girl in the world:)

  2. um. . . .it's at Wrigley ain't it?

Look what happened in Cinci last night. Brewers (the BREWERS for god's sake) lit up Volkes and Dave Bush (yes THAT dave bush) gave up only one run in seven. . . .

things can come true, they can happen to you,

    if you're Cubs at heart.

  3. I BELIEVE!

    Eamus Catuli

EDIT: now that everyone threw him under the bus, he looks pretty good going into the 7th

  4. He is doing great

  5. I'm a Cards fan and hate him thorougly when he was with us. He's a TERRIBLE 2nd half pitcher. Than he gets all huffy when he's kept off the playoff roster.

LOL I'm just glad he doesn't play for my team anymore. Good luck with that.

  6. I wouldn't be too confident about Marquis either. He hasn't won since June 21st and his ERA is pretty high. They should try and find a replacement.

  7. I can't stand Marquis and I actually asked a question like this a week or so ago.  I asked if we could get rid of Marquis and throw Samardzija into the rotation.  Everyone that answered my question seemd to disagree with me though saying stick with Marquis, it's too early in Samardzija's career to put him into the rotation.  The way I see it is, if you've been a starter in the past (and he was) it's not going to be any different in the bigs then it was in AAA or in college or in high school.  Honestly though if we were to take Marquis out I think Lou would turn to Marshall first.

  8. have faith, RB, fer cryin' out loud--the cubbies are doing great and marquis has certainly helped. I gotta root for jason and the cubbies because it's just been too long since they last won (what, 100 years?). Besides, my team is already out of the race, so this year it's "go cubbies" but next year it's back to "go mariners!", lol.

  9. All you can do is hope he keeps the ball down in the strike zone and he lasts at least 5 to 6 innings with some run support.

  10. Lol, big cubs fan here. I agree in some sorts, but last time out he gave up three runs, cubs lost 3-0. 3 runs is very managable for their offense. But its very true a lot of times he just looks shaken up out there. i predict he goes 6 innings 2er, 5 k. cubs win 6-3. Look on the bright side, once playoffs start it will be a 4 man rotation, and he will be sent to the bullpen.

  11. I dont really care about cubs AT ALL.. i want them to lose EVERY game in the season next year.. and people really think they're going to the playoffs this year... lmao... their recond dont matter.... they're gonna come 3rd in their division this year.
