  1. All of this will vary from person to person.

Generally it's easier to keep muscles you have already built.

And as to gaining muscle, there are guys we call hardgainers who really have a hard time packing on muscle.  Usually these 'hardgainers' are skinny and have a high metabolism which burns up anything they eat.

A little bit of fat isn't bad if you are working out.  Eventually when you begin definition, that fat will disappear.  A good example of this is the abs.  A lot of guys will bulk and get some fat which covers the abs, but when they start heavier cardio for their cutting routine, that fat goes away to reveal the abs.

  2. Keep is easier. Getting is much harder---especially if you are skinny.

If you are skinny---you are probably all muscle. The "ONLY" way to put muscle on is to "EAT" a whole lot---and then some. You can not make muscle out of skinny--you must add food.

  3. No its harder to increase muscle size but easier to maintain it. Once it's there it's there unless u fall severely ill.

Its also easier to gain muscle when skinny than when fat.

  4. some times flab as we call it is just undertoned muscle so its easier then but if you are fat then it is harder because you have to burn off the fat then start gaining muscle
