Maintenance Men: What do you think of The North Pole Melting Away? (1/2 World's A/C Unit Broke Down) Thoughts?

Looking at our planet from a Maintenance point of view, the Earth is a Dwelling and the North Pole is 1/2 of this Dwelling's A/C. The other half is of course the South Pole. I'd like your best diagnosis of the present situation.

Personally, I don't view the earth as a dwelling. A dwelling is a place where you can control the environment. You can build a wall to protect yourself from the wind, a roof to keep you from getting wet in the rain, and heating or air conditioning to effect a change in temperature. I tend to think of the earth as a living entity, and we are just bacteria on that planet. Think of your own body. There are good bacteria to keep your body healthy and nurtured, and there are bad bacteria which produce infections, disease, and other maladies. When you are ill, your body does whatever it can to fight off those things which are affecting it. The earth does much the same. If mankind is indeed causing global warming, enough to melt the ice caps, then the ultimate flooding of earth will eliminate mankind, and earth will have ultimately fixed itself. If we live on this planet responsibly, the earth will be healthy, and we will enjoy all it has to offer. It's up to us as to what kind of bacteria we want to be.
