Maireads Dandy favourite for Gain Feeds on Sale A5 525 Round 2 Heat 2
Maireads Dandy has been rated as favourite to win the Gain Feeds on Sale A5 525 Round 2 Heat 2 at Harold’s Cross in Ireland on Monday, April 30, 2012. The triumphant hound will walk away with a cash prize of €50.
The 525 yard race is scheduled to start at 20:40 GMT and a total of six quality hounds have been attracted towards it. Their names are as follows: Maireads Dandy, Ferryforth Tom, Rail Sandy, Ravenswood Jack, Croghan Bell and Rocket Cabbie.
The bookies expect Maireads Dandy to dominate proceedings today, as he is a very good runner and has done well in recent times as well. He will definitely attract a lot of bets in his favour today, as he looks in better shape compared to his rivals.
Maireads Dandy, trained by Horan, has been impressive in recent times, thus it will be difficult to stop him from winning. He does not have a lot of experience, but that will not matter much at the end of the day.
The black and white dog made his debut last year and did a couple of trial runs at the start. His speed was impressive and he carried that into racing as well, finishing runner up in his maiden Grade A4 event. He followed that with a terrific win at Harold’s
Cross, which shows that he is carrying excellent momentum right now.
If Maireads Dandy gets a clear run today, he will make things extremely difficult for his opponents. He is the son of Top Honcho out of Maireads Fantasy and was born in July 2010.
On the other hand, Ferryforth Tom will also be the one to watch out for in the race. He is a regular at Harold’s Cross, thus will be fully aware of the conditions at this venue. He ended up on top of the table in his most recent race, which shows the kind
of form he is in at the moment.
However, the Connaughton’s trained runner might not find things to be easy in this class, thus the punters will be a touch reluctant in placing bets in his favour. He is the son of Droopys Scolari out of Ferryforth Lark and was born in October 2009.
