Maizy Missile expected to stand first in Handicap Chase
Maizy Missile is expected to seal first position in the high-stakes contest of Brymbo Sports And Social San Miguel Novices’ Handicap Chase that will be held at Bangor-on-dee racecourse on Friday, May 4. The action is scheduled to start at 6:30 (GMT).
To cover the distance of 2 miles, 1 furlong and 110 yards on the Good To Soft track, the Mary Evans-trained bay mare will run against 4 potential rivals that include Rawaaj, Onefourfun, City Ground and Unwanted Gift. A prize cheque of £3,054 is ready for the supposed winner.
Maizy Missile has won 3 out of her total 17 starts so far. The ten-year-old maverick mare excellently grabbed top spot in her last outing on March 18, 2012. Prior to this, she had achieved a victory on March 20, 2011 while being a 5-1 favourite.
Though the daughter of Executive Perk out of Landsker Missile has not earned a favourite tag for the Handicap Chase but she will surely be able to browbeat all her competitors to manoeuvre success to her favour.
Maizy Missile’s chances to finish first are as high as 90 percent provided she keeps her fighting spirit intact on the track.
Among the other runners, Unwanted Gift and Rawaaj are likely to perform well in the race.
Unwanted Gift has just one victory to his name. Rachel Hobbs’ bay gelding elegantly broke his maiden in his last start on May 3, 2012. Without the gap of even a single day, the talented horse is going to run again today. Let us see how well he manages to capitalise on the form given by the yesterday’s success.
On the other hand, Rawaaj nicely finished as a runner-up in his last outing on March 21, 2012. As a whole, the Donald McCain-trained veteran gelding has won 2 out of his total 27 starts so far. He will be able to have a great time today.
In the light of the above analysis, it is predicted that the race will have many twist and turns. However, Maizy Missile will be able to thrive in face of all the odds convincingly. Good luck to the mare.
