Maizy Missile tipped to succeed in Santander Handicap Chase
Maizy Missile has got a great chance of winning the Santander Handicap Chase at Sedgefield in England on Tuesday, August 28, 2012. She has been delivering some decent results over the past few events, thus she will be confident of a solid show today.
However, things will not be easier for the skilful mare, as she will be up against some talented runners. One of them is Venture To War, who has been given the best odds by the bookmakers, despite the fact that she has never won any race in her career. It
will be extremely difficult for her to get the attention of the punters in this 2 mile 110 yard event.
Strobe is another participant, who has got a solid chance of shining at Sedgefield. He has been priced 11 to 2 because of the fact that he is carrying the winning momentum right now. His most recent victory was a comprehensive one, thus the bettors will
definitely be considering him as the favourite to succeed.
However, Maizy Missile will not allow her opponents to dominate the proceedings completely, as she is in good rhythm right now. She will enter the race with a starting price of 8 to 1 and will be an ideal candidate for the punters.
Although, the 10-year-old mare does not have a very good record overall, yet she has been doing a reasonable job during the ongoing season. This means that her confidence level is high and her fans will be expecting a solid run from her.
The Mary Evans’ trainee debuted in February 2007 and was unable to get the attention of anyone because of her lacklustre showings. It took her quite a long time to adjust in competitive racing and she finally managed to win her first ever race in 2010.
After winning her maiden race, the Irish mare got a lot more consistent and made her team proud on many occasions. She managed to succeed in one race during the previous season as well and followed that up with some decent showings.
In 2012, Maizy Missile has appeared in five events and her performances in them have been really good. She won once whereas finished as a runner up twice. She will definitely be looking forward to winning another event this year under seasoned jockey, Paul
Moloney.
