Maja Pavlinic topples Kim Novak in Women’s Singles qualifying round of Slovenia International 2013
Croatia’s Maja Pavlinic lived up to the expectations as she put up staggering show of top class badminton and easily thrashed her local opponent Kim Novak in Women’s Singles qualifying round of FORZA Slovenia International 2013 on Thursday, May 9, in Slovenia.
The impressive Maja, who has been showing a considerable performance for the last few months, played with great speed and control that enabled her to wind up the match in a lopsided manner in just 24 minutes.
Croatian lady was on a different level as she proved her elevated skills on court and remained successful in outplaying her Slovenian challenger in straight sets with a completely controlled 21-14 and 21-10 score on the board.
On the contrary, Kim tried her level best to live up to the expectations of her home fans but failed to put up strong resistance against her Croatian challenger. She lost the match in a one-sided way without proving her worth on court.
Maja played with superb control in her shots and managed to control the affairs from starting points of the first set.
The tempo of the rallies was quite fast in first game and Maja impressed the crowd with her staggering speed and attacking play.
Croatian shuttler did not show any mercy to her aggressive local rival in the starting half and secured a superb lead on score board.
After the mid-game break, the in-form Maja was focused in the arena and remained successful in keeping a reasonable lead.
It was a smooth sailing for the impressive Maja who did not face any reasonable resistance from her rival and won the first game with a staggering 21-14 margin on the board.
Kim was once again in problem in the following set as she received a punishing treatment from her challenger who was at her best in the arena.
Maja was in incredible control of the game and she remained successful in establishing a staggering difference until the one-minute break.
In the ending half of second game, the incredible Maja continued her smooth sailing and easily bagged the game by a superb score of 21-10.
