Majestic Breeze rated favourite for Catterick Flat Season Starts Today Handicap
Majestic Breeze is rated favourite for the Catterick Flat Season Starts Today Handicap in England on Wednesday, April 11, 2012. A cash prize of £2,045 will be awarded to the race winner.
The going will be good to soft in the 5 furlong race, which is scheduled to start at 14:00 GMT. A total of nine runners will be seen in action and their names are as follows: Majestic Breeze, Oneniteinheaven, Wish Again, Alnair, M J Woodward, Lord Buffhead, Tuibama, Economic Crisis and Brian´s Best.
Although Majestic Breeze has never managed to win any race in her career, the bookies have still shown faith in her abilities. She is new to the sport and has just participated in three events until now.
The three-year-old filly started her career last year and performed well on her debut, securing fifth place. However, she struggled to make an impression in her second outing, finishing eighth in it.
The Brian Ellison’s trained filly performed well in her most recent race though, as she ended up in a career-best fourth place. She will still need a lot of improvement in order to bring up her maiden victory.
Majestic Breeze will be ridden by Barry McHugh, who is a very good rider and has been delivering decent results over the past few months. He has won quite a few races, but needs to improve his strike rate in order to attract more bets in his favour.
Oneniteinheaven, trained by Jane Chapple-Hyam is also a competitive runner, but she has been out of form for the past few months. She has taken part in five races until now, winning none of them.
However, the three-year-old filly has secured a runner up position once, which shows that she is fully capable of fighting for top positions. The punters might not risk a lot of money in her favour, as her most recent race saw her finish 15th.
Oneniteinheaven will be partnered by Michael O'Connell, whose recent form has been good. He has won some races at this level and will be eying a strong show today.
Wish Again, Alnair and M J Woodward are the other runners, who can fight for victory at Catterick today.
