Major Itunes Lag, What Could Be The Problem?

One day, it could lag while I'm typing a name of a band, the next day it could be fine. The common problems are that the scroll bar moves in chunks, rather then smoothly and it takes a while to search my music for a band.

-No viruses.

-No programs running.

-53GB (out of 100GB) memory (laptop).

-Defraged, and CCleaned.

What could be the problem?

It doesn't seem like a common iTunes problem.  My suggestion is to ask your question in one of the iTunes Support forums.  All the experts hang there and it's much more likely you'll get a good answer.
