Major League Baseball Special: What to expect from San Francisco Giants in 2012...?
The San Francisco Giants’ had a poor 2011 Major League Baseball season as they certainly could not hold on to the devastating injury of their talented individual Buster Posey and lost many games with enormous hustle. The 2012 World Series Champions were all over the place when they started last year’s campaign. With a relative well balanced roster including good rotation power, the Giants just lost too many games early in the season while this continuation of failures continued until the mid season break.
In last few games, it seems they are coming back as they started to win, but could not do with the remaining games as their season ended with the bitter humiliation and disgrace.
However, in this season, the Giants are trying to forget about recent past memories and focusing on the new season. The team had just finished 2012 MLB Spring Training and now resting for a week’s time. The overall form looked good in Spring Training while now the Giants fans are demanding some extraordinary performances from their team. Fans, who have seen the recent form of their players, certainly demand a heroic performance.
The expectations are high and the projected line-up including the rotation is also looking good. If this rotation and batting line-up worked well for the Giants, the outcome will be a lot different than last year. Batting line-up looks good with the potential inclusion of Angel Pagan, along with Melky Cabrera, Pablo Sandoval, Buster Posey, Aubrey Huff, Brandon Belt, Nate Schierholtz, Freddy Sanchez and Brandon Crawford.
Buster Posey’s return is a pleasant thing happened to the Giants. He is one major contender in the Giants whole active roster. His comeback after a season ending injury will certainly help the Giants to rise once again and try to win titles. Posey’s return has brought so much joy to the Giants franchise that lately the team manager Bruce Bochy has also commented in the media telling the reporters as how important his fitness is for them and how well his current form is.
Bochy said, “You’re going to have plays at the plate, He’s going to have a lot of plays out there. He’s going to be more comfortable with each play. You move on and continue to work on plays at the plate. For his first play at the plate, I thought he handled it well.”
Later Posey also said for his potential return and for his future game with the team. He also said about his recent form in the Spring Training.
Posey said, “It was more thinking about the work we’ve done the spring and all the practicing, I think it was good. I think it’s sometimes tough to visualize it because every play is different. Every throw is different, a short hop or a long hop.”
In the meanwhile, some experts also believe that Posey’s return will also inspire many in the team. His hard-work has won many games for the Giants. Along with Posey’s return, the Giants overall team is also looking in great shape. The Spring Training went well and now the final test of nerves is about to start in the next month when all the MLB teams will be competing each-other for only one precious World Series Title.
