Question:

Major and minor arteries

can anyone name the major and minor arteries? i don't know if this is the correct way of asking or if its even possible.. i know about the jugular, in the neck.. and the one in the thigh. but, can if there is some, name more? ans also how long it takes to bleed out form these organs like how many pints a minute or.... something like that. also how many pints (i think 8) of blood do you have to lose b4 u die?

  1. The major artery in our body is Aorta & the jugulars are in the neck.

    i would say about 5/6 in answer to your question. I think the average human body holds in excess of 7 or 8.


  2. The jugular is a vein, not an artery.  The main artery in the neck is the carotid artery.

    The artery in the thigh is the femoral artery.
