  1. Ground loop my ar.se ! Do you still have the buzz with the volume turned right down ? Does the buzz come from inside the TV ? Does the buzz come from the speakers ? answer these questions in your Edit and we will try to give you an objective answer !

    Cheers Pete

EDIT: Ok then I should also have asked what pitch the buzz is !! If it is low pitched then you have lamination rattle in a transformer !!perhaps the power trans ( 60 hz ) . All that needs if you can do it is to tighten the bolts that hold the transformer together !

If high pitched sound more like a squeal or whistle then it comes from an inductor in the line sweep stage !! ( 15 kz or there abouts ) the trick is to find the offending coil and pour a little heat melt glue over it . If you press everything in the horizontal stage of the set you may find that the buzz stops OR changes pitch .

Of course it is always best to let a Tech look at it  !!!

    Cheers Pete

  2. sounds like you have a ground loop...

check your local electronics store, or radio shack for a ground loop isolator..

  3. Bad ground connection most likely. In the old days we used to reverse the AC plug.  Ground loop isolator is fine if you are using audio inputs, and if that is where the trouble is coming from. I don't know if I'd toss that money at it to find out.

Although you could put it a sack and

take it back to Radio Shack and

    get your money back
