Major enviormental problems in the world today?

I need 2 or more (one is fine) MAJOR problems in the world today, weather its pullution, deforastoration, ice caps, natrual destruction ext. I would say china and india.  Neither have any (when compared to the united states, canada, UK) real regulations on pollution.
