I'd take CJ and Gore over Grant and Smith.  You never know how Delhomme will be coming back from injury and you don't know the effect Rodgers will have on the running game.  CJ you know you're getting a solid receiver and Gore has the potential to put up big numbers.  Only downfall for Gore is Mike Martz is the OC now and he just loves to pass, so Gore's carries may go down but his receiving yards may go up.

EDIT:  Man peoples lives have got to be real dull to come on here and give everyone a thumbs down because their opinions don't match.

Tough choice there. I would get the deal done. I just don't feel like Steve Smith is going to have a great year this year. Although Gore might have a tough time in San Fran with Mike Martz running the show out there. The guy just does not like to run the ball.

I would take chad johnson and frank gore over smith and grant because johnson is clearly the more consistent wr and also can rely on him not to get hurt like smith does. One big reason for gore because he has something grant does not have he is mike martz who created the best show on turf with warner faulk holt and Bruce.

Definitely a good trade.  The only way it would be a bad trade is if Aaron Rodgers remains the Packers QB thereby leading the Packers to run the ball a TON.  Gore is guaranteed to get his carries because both Alex Smith and Shaun Hill are terrible QB's for the 49ers.  Remember, Smith is suspended 2 games and his stats have taken a slight dip.  In the end, the WR part of the trade almost cancels out, but I believe Gore will have a better season because Favre will take over for the Packers, lessening Grants touches.

Frank Gore is coming off a terrible year while Ryan Grant ran for the most yards in the 2nd half of last season.  Steve Smith and Chad Johnson are about even, although Smith is out for 2 games.  in the end, that person has the advantage in this trade.
