    2. All living things carry on respiration.

    3.There are two kinds of respiration:Aerobic & anaerobic.

    Aerobes excrete carbon dioxide and water (vapor)

        Anaerobes excrete carbon dioxide and other substances,

        like ethanol.

    4.Common green plants and algae.

    5. Photosynthesis is a process by which green plants (containing chlorophyll) produces food from inorganic compounds, (H2O + CO2)in the presence of light.

    Chemosynthesis is the manufacture of food without light.

    Typically ,this is carried on by bacteria that live beneath the earth's surface or around hot vents that are in the dark depths of the ocean floor. These bacteria use carbon,hydrogen and commonly sulfur that exits ocean floor vents to produce food ; without light. The food produced is eaten by a variety of bottom dwellers, like tubeworms.
