  1. Here are some jobs that you could do....

Work as a naturalist at some sort of park or "safari".

Work for your state's Department of Natural Resources

Become a Park Ranger for the U.S. park service or your state

Become a forest ranger or wildlife manager for your state or the U.S.Department of Agriculture.

Become a Wildlife Officer or Fish and Game Ranger or Officer

It's not a really hard major.  But.....there are people out there that really love doing this sort of thing.  The job is very rewarding.  As a result, there is a lot of competition for the available jobs.  Most of the jobs are government jobs and rate low on the GS scales.  You'll lock in at a low pay rate and won't advance far in pay.

It will help to get a job if you can have a second major with it.  For example, Law Enforcement or Business.  Maybe even Recreation.  Something that can give you the edge over someone else with a less full resume.

  2. you can also work in a zoo or wildlife sanctuary.

  3. wildlife biologist

    animal scientist

    ecologist

    forester

    zoo keeper

    aquarium keeper

thats just for a bachelors degree.

you can find a list here:

that link needs adobe acrobat to work.

  4. Classy Lady: I admire your goals and your choice of a major. Without being disrespectful in any way, I urge you to consider that there are probably more jobs for English majors than for wildlife management majors. And everyone knows what you CAN'T do with an English major.......
