Major makeup question?

ok so i wear foundation, it's like medium to heavy coverage. but it's not cakey looking. anyway, then i wear my eye makeup something like this,

no, i don't have my b***s hanging out like that [:

anyway, i LOVE natural makeup. i'm not a scenester, i just like their makeup. that's it. but i don't know how to apply natural makeup and look equally s**y. i'm not ugly but i'm no adriana lima xP

please help me!
