  1. Caste system aside...I think the largest problems faced by India are similar to those experienced by many others.

    Loss of CULTURE!  As individuals from India move to the United States (especially youth) they slowly begin to assimilate to the culture of the United States.  In doing so, they are little by little "losing" their own culture (especially in the eyes of elders) as they are reflecting more and more Americanized values if and when they return to India.


  2. One problem I've often heard of is the enduring legacy of the Caste system - people still treat each others as if the caste system was still in place. This is especially apparent in the case of the Untouchables.

  3. I think the major problem is that rich and poor are two separate classes, then Caste system also dividing Indians badly.
