Question:

Majorca - money and drink?

I'm going The Hotel Agua Beach next saturday for a week.

How much spending money do you think I'll need? I'm going with my friend and it's her birthday whilst we're there, so we'll be going out and celebrating it whilst there. It's half-board, so I'll need to pay for lunch aswell.

Where gives the best exchange rate for £ to euros? I'm thinking it may be the postoffice but I'm not sure..

This is the wierdest part of my question. All i can drink on a regular basis is Ribena. I tend to just ignore the fact that I'm thirsty if i can't get any Ribena, which is NOT good. Do you know if i can get any over there, and if not, how i can prevent a bottle of Ribena from bursting in my bag on the plane?

Thanks.

  1. LOL im a ribena adict to. I buy one everyday before college and after. Maybe you should bring some ribena concentrate with you, BUT NOT LIGHT. Ribena light just doesn't taste the same. Anywhoo yeah i think you'll get the best rate from the post office. Bring about £150-£250. Be thrifty though, try and get guys to buy you drinks.

  2. yes you can get ribena in majorca ive just got back hope you have a great time x. the post office would be the cheapest place to get euro exchange as banks charge high commision and depending on how much night life you want to enjoy or theme places etc 300 euro or so is lots

  3. LOL You will be able to get your ribena over there just hunt around the supermarkets Majorca has almost everything you can think of, the Canary Islands are'nt as good at having the usual English brands although they do try. I'd recommend you bring at LEAST 500 euros to spend : Food out is very cheap compared with at home and most places do "buy one drink get the second one free". Lots of opportunity to splash out on shoes and bags and do a few touristy trips which are about 50 euro on average some less some more. Have a great time!!

  4. when checking the euro rates this week for ourselves I found that The Money shop and Cheque convertors had the best exchange rate
