Majors related to the environment?

I love working outdoors and having a career in something that has to do with changing the environment. Is there any job like this not including being a forester?

I was thinking in getting a major in environmental studies but theres no jobs i really enjoy in that major?(weird)..so what major would you recommend? thank you

  1. Environmental science or studies will give you a pretty broad background and the option to choose from a number of environmental jobs.  That's what I would suggest.

This is such a broad topic that many majors would apply.  There is the obvious Environmental Science.  However, because of the nature of that field, there are a wide array of options you have.  Anything in biology, chemistry, or physics would help you in that area.  Most work relating to the environment is research.  Looking for new ways to solve problems in the biosphere.  Think about what you would like to do in that field, and choose your major as a TOOL to help you with your job.

  3. Zoology, botany, geography, wildlife conservation. The best job market may be for wetland specialists.
