Make a Home Theater Amp?

Hello i have a old Home Theaterthat doesnt work it does not turn on. But can i make a amp or something from that. Like take out the amp it haves and take it out or something. I had a friend that made it with a pc speakers. Please can i make something?

While you could reuse the the receiver's components to make an amp, it would require a pretty hefty knowledge of electronics.

If the home theatre has a seperate amp you most certainly can use it again. specially for a pc.

If u havent got a stereo capable amp the trick is to run anonther set of speaker cable from the amp and put the rear speakers in series not parallel. that way the 2 rear speaker will work as 4speaker surrond sound.

check the wattage output of the amp before connecting all 4 speakers as it will not work ever again.

Then its only a matter of getting the cable with the right jacks to connect the audio from the pc.

The reason it may not turn on is usually only one of 2 problems. Check the fuse inside or put a volt meter over the transformer.
