Make a list of your future?

Is it a good idea to make a list of your future such as what type of home you will live in, where you are going to live, what you are going to own, etc?

I just wanted to live a unique life in the future and thought it would be fun to create a list like this.

  1. It is important to have goals (flexible goals) to feel the success of accomplishing them. I've known people who really have no long term goal and they are very sad. They feel like the are treading water all the time and not moving anywhere. As long as you are willing to leave room for variables, it is very healthy to have goals for your future!

  2. I already have what I want in life. It is not exactly what I had in mind 25 years ago.  I have simplified and downsized my expectations.  I have a nice little condo that is mine and a career.  I am now planning on a comfortable lifestyle that is healthy because good health is my priority. I will be 45 on Sept. 12 and 12 years free of alcohol Sept.1.  I am not rich and I am not poor.  Life is great.  I love my home by Cook Inlet in Alaska.  I once dreamed of a beach home in my home state of California and now I live a lovely simple life by the coast and surrounded by lovely mountains,  Clean air and water! Can't get better.  I changed from a self centered city girl to a mountain country woman who loves fishing and hiking.

  3. i personally think life's all about fulfillment, not achievement. if you'd like to make a list of goals or ideas for your ideal future home, go ahead. it's not a guideline you're creating, it's a goal.

  4. as for where i want to live.

alone- somewhere in alaska or north dakota where it is always cold and i can drink myself to death without much fuss.

happily married- somewhere beautiful that my lover would compliment.
