Make friends on a cruise??

Question

im 16 and i have went on cruises before but everytime i go on a cruise i end up hanging out with my family and their friends, i am the only teen that is going with them.......

how can i make friends on the cruise??? i dont want to look like im desperate to make friends on the cruise by saying hi to random people and starting random conversations....... and im also asian... most cruisers are white no offence but it is true, how can i go about making friends without looking like an idiot??

i will be going on costa concordia on may 30...hehe come onver and we'll be friends

usually i'm a bit shy to go to the teen club...so i just make a couple of friends with the staff

Just go to the teen club and start talking to people. Also, I am white and all my friends (with the exception of a few people) are asian. =D

Go to the teen club, and just be friendly.  =)

Even if there isn't a teen club, the cruise line will usually organize a get-together.  People will be in, um, the same boat, and making friends will be pretty easy.

And imho it's perfectly normal on a cruise to say hi and start random conversations.  People aren't strangers -- you're sharing a vacation for a week.

Some cruise ships have very nice night clubs/dance floors. That can be a great start!

I believe most ships have teen clubs and activities.  You'll have a blast!
