Make home video close to movie/tv quality?

Question

I wanna kno how to take away that home video look and make the finished product look like somethin from tv or a movie (or atleast close to it). Anyone have any programs that i can use to do that or other stuff too?

I really don't think you can. Once it's recorded, it's done.  The nice movie look comes from superior video equipment, great lighting, and good camera operator.  

There are softwares out there, mostly professional, that can help with color correction and light correction, but they are professional (i.e. not free, and heavy) and can only go so far. They won't make up for the lack of definition of your recording....

I don't think you could really help it if it is already made, but maybe you should buy a stand?  That REALLY helps.
