could anyone explain to me or give me a website where i can learn how to use parts of videos and put them into icons or something like this:

http://media.photobucket.com/image/gabe%20saporta/KayteeMorbid_xo/Gabe%20Saporta/willgabevid.gif?o=769

Do i need to download a certain program to be able to do this?

Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

  1. You'll need to download two programs at least.  this is the easiest way to do it:

download and install some kind of program that will take a video or preferably portion of a video and break it up frame by frame into individual images and save them into a specified folder. I used to know of a program that could do this plus open just about any kind of media file in existence but I completely forgot the name of it and wish I could remember it. It started with a V i think.

Also, download and install unfreeze (link below)

Take apart the video with the first program then put it back togeth with the second. The file you're creating is called a GIF image, it's jsut an animated image.

  2. if you have the footage use quicktime pro to export it as jpeg pics. then put the pics in photoshop and make an gif animation.

  3. That's an animated gif.
