Make medicine/poison from nightshade?

I have an assload of just common nightshade plants i've been cultivating. i heard that you can make medicine for skin problems with it, and obviously, poison. does anyone know how to make either?

  1. There is nothing that you or anyone else should attempt to make from nightshade. Leave it alone. If you want skin cream go to CVS or something.


  2. Nightshade is the same plant as belladonna, it's also called death's herb, banewort and poison black cherry, which say something about the properties of the plant.

    It contains several alkaloids and other compounds: atropine, hyoscyamine, scopolamine, asparagine, choline, chrysatropic acid, atroscine, leucatropic acid, and phytosterol. The extracts are not much used in medicine anymore as it is been replaced by more highly purified and/or selective compounds.

    I would not suggest making any kind of home-made medicine out of these extracts as many of these compounds are quite poisonous and/or have very potent effects on the body.
