Make my new room better

Question

My sister is going to college so I get her room. It has light blue walls and is 9x15 with an addition that is 4'5x2'10. The closet size doesnt matter b/c i am keeping a bookcase in it. The furniature is 2 desks, a twin sized bed, my drum set, a bureau, and a bedside table. The curtains are white. I am wondering what colors to use and what furniature and decorative type things I should use.

If you like the light blue and white, keep them and add deep brown wood to the mix.
