Make the hompage not open differnt?

well i have windows vista and was wondering if you have a custom homepage can you stop it from opening in a nother window when you click on lets say google??

Browser Options under the Tab tab control how pages open for a viewer.  Web sites do not have that control over how a browser opens up pages.
