  1. you don't need foundation

    when you're 14. :]

    wear blush, mascara, and

    a pretty lipgloss.

    you are so very lucky

    to live in europe! :]

    try lancome makeup!

  2. dont use that nasty stuff you smear on you face it cloggs up your pours and all that.

    use powder by neutrogina.

its easy to get off, doewsnt clog your pores and doesnt look cakey.

also use some blush to give you that color tone.

    help i helped

  3. i would recommend maybelline because it has great , well, everything is great. try foundation that matches your skin tone almost exactly but don't go darker to look like you have a tan. foundation is just there to even out color on your face

  4. There are so many foundations and it is really confusing. The girls behind the counter are usually really helpful and can test them on you and find the right one for you.  There are loads of good ones that dont cost too much and some are quite light so you dont get that 'caked' look.

You could try just a tinted moisturiser as an alternative.  Its light and a lot cheaper.

  5. Maybelline's make-up works wonders! Try their liquid make-up and add just a tiny bit only onto your blemishes, blending it in with the tips of your (clean!) fingers. If you apply most foundations all over your face it tends to look cakey. Try adding a lighter coat instead, or only applying to your flaws (like on zips, undereye cirles, etc.).

  6. go to  a clinique counter and the person that sells you stuff will know your right shade and your skin type

    good luck:)

  7. Find one that is close to your skin tone! Compare it to your hand on the front side! Not the palm.

  8. I use the Dream Matte Mousse by Maybelline. I really like the way it covers. Just make sure you blend it properly. Also, make sure you aren't using old make up. I can't remember the best way to choose the right foundation. Really, I suggest that you just use a tinted moisturizer. I have bad skin, so I'm aware of that problem. I've noticed that when I wear little to no make up or tinted moisturizers my skin doesn't react too badly in the long run.

I have heard something about getting a shade darker, but I'm not sure. Really, go with the moisturizer.

  9. i think you should use maybelline it might be expensive but it's really good

you can find the right one by looking at your skin tone and then putting the package of foundtion up to your arm ( usally they let you see what color it is on the package) and looking at both the colors see if they match

  10. mineral make-up is more natural. maybelline is probably best for that.

  11. trial and error. if u go to department stores sometimes u can get samples, or sometimes brands will send u out a sample if u request it on their website. figure out whether ur skin is dry, oily or combination. make sure u match ur skin tone as closely as possible, dont try making it darker with foundation cos u'll end up with a nasty line round ur neck.

try max factor miracle touch it's about £10 here in london so roughly 15 euros i think.

  12. don't use liquid foundation, it's bad for your skin especially if it's sensitive. instead try using a mineral powder (powder form of foundation) it won't clog up your pores or enlarge them, and it won't look cakey. Maybeline makes mineral powder ( I see it on your list of makeup available to you). Always wash your face and remove all your makeup at night.

  13. use a face moisturizer with tanning  lotion. Gives a subtle tan affect and you can skip th foundation all together. JERGENS NATURAL GLOW FACE works well. Its a daily moisturizer. Put it on and after it dries use regular moisturizer , I stopped using foundation all together. It looks great. after two days, you can use it every other day if needed. (regular moisturizer daily)

  14. well if you have a soft smooth face then you should use the liquid foundation bcuz thats probably why it looks so cakey...and your probably putting on too much

the best foundation to use is the moose kind......it goes on real smooth and doesnt leave your face so thick

  15. ASk the people at the store, they know. There is this new stuff that you put it on as a cream and it starts out white and then matches your skin tone. Try something like that. Good luck.

  16. i use eaithre maybelline  liquad or a fondation power

  17. MAC StudioFix Fluid.

  18. The best tip that I ever got regarding foundation was to put it on with a brush.  No matter what make up I now use looks good, it looks light and doesn't looked caked on at all.  I managed to buy a brush as part of a set in debenhams and it has done me for ages :-)

  19. I have always experimented with foundation for my skin tone and have discovered that for a liquid foundation, you should find something close to your skin tone or slightly one shade that LOOKS darker because once you spread it out onto your face it will kind of lighten up.

But for a powder foundation you should choose something slightly lighter then your skin tone. Choosing something darker then your skin tone will result in an appearance of blotchy uneven skin tones and that horrible cake batter look!

If you have fair colored skin, it is more likely that you have drier skin, so before putting on any powder foundation, you should put a light lotion on your face and neck to moisturize your skin to prepare it for the foundation. A good lotion for this is Garnier Nutritioniste. I got mine at a Super Market. It even says on the bottle that it's an excellent ase for makeup. You can find it in the hair care and skin care areas. Plus it's not all that expensive.

If you have medium to darker skin, it is more likely that you have skin that is more oily, or the combination type. In this case it may be good to just give your face a quick rinse before putting on makeup.

Personally my face tends to get quite oily, so i like using just powder foundation since it absorbs excess oil and it doesn't look like too much is on my face.

As for the brand of makeup that you should use?

I suggest anything from L'oreal Paris (anything for their line of makeup) to Mineral Wear (it's really good for acne prone skin) and i also suggest Bare Escentuals. That is probably the best makeup for the natural look that you want since it is specialized in looking natural!

If you have a store called Sephora over there then the people there will certainly help you since they carry Bare Escentuals.

So just make sure that you find the type of foundation closest to your skin tone and don't be afraid to play with them in the store, because it totally stinks when you think you found the best foundation then after a couple of days you discover that it's really not for your skin tone.

Don't get anything too light, and definitely don't get anything to dark

Remember....going lighter is better than going darker.

  20. Try and find Cover Girl.

Its what i use and it blends very well!

  21. well, you can try using less of the foundation. try switching to a lightweight liquid foundation or powder. i prefer using maybelline Mineral Power™ Natural Perfecting Powder Foundation and/or Mineral Power™ Natural Perfecting Liquid Foundation. they are a tad pricey but well worth it.

  22. Chose a foundation that matches ur skin color.

  23. when choosing a foundation u r supposed to try it by the side of ur chin or the bottom of ur cheek and see which one has a natural look!

    Hope That Helped

  24. When your foundation makeup starts to look cakey on you, it's time to use a good facial scrub that has an exfoliant in it.  Like Aveeno, I think has an oatmeal scrub.  Any good scrub will have something in it, kind of gritty to get your face really clean.  Sounds like a good facial mask/masque would be a good idea, too.

These will get you back to a really clean face.  Then it will only be up to you what makeup to use.  Any pharmacy or health/beauty aid sales person should be able to help you with all of this.  I used to work in cosmetics at Walgreens and we all have training in that sort of thing, and in name brands, etc.  Plus, it's much less expensive than going to a makeup counter in a dept. store.

Anything Neutrogena would be good.  Almay makes a good product.  Revlon/Maybelline any of those are good, and I really like Rimmel, too.

Once you get a really good masque/exfoliant done on your face, it will all look great.

Every day thousands of little particles of skin are sloughed off our bodies.  So sounds like you just have some excess buildup through makeup, etc. that needs to come off first.

  25. the trick is to apply a good moisturizer on your face 5 minutes before your make up then apply a lil bit of foundation where you need it most on your face also on your neck. if this doesnt work you have the wrong foundation you have to make sure it matches your skin tone correctly
