Make up for Blue EYES?

Question

What color eyeshadow should I wear? I have dark blue/gray eyes. Also, what is the best way to apply make up to make my eyes look bigger?

WELL, whoever said that blue eye shadow is not for blue eyes was proven VERY wrong! Blue eye shadows and brown eye shadows are actually the best colours for us. Also, trying a silvery blue would work great. I wear it pretty much everyday (MAC Eyeshadow in Idol Eyes). When it comes to the browns, if you have more of a pinkish tint to your skin (like me :$) don't go for browns with reddish in them because they won't look brown, they'll look red and you'll end up looking demonic. Go for the ones with more of a yellow-y tint. But if your skin is more yellow-y, go for the reddish tints. For brighter, bigger looking eyes, try applying a shimmery white to the inner corners of your eyes near the tear duct. I suggest Beauty Rush Eyeshadow in Miami Ice. :)

light brown/gold, deep purple, light green, deep pink, or a deep yellow looks amazing with blue eyes.

apply it so its wider on the outer part of your eye.

and use either a darker tone of the same color or a brighter tone of eyeliner and apply it under your eye -- that'll make them look bigger.

try contrasting with a dusty rose and shimmery pink, apply the shimmery color under the brow and in the inner corner of your tearduct, then apply the same shdae to the innerhalf of your eyeLID, then blend the dusty rose color on the outer half of your eye and bland it into the entire crease of our eye, it looks surprisingly natural, but it makes your eyecolor pop.

almay has some great eyeshadow trios that are made for different eye colors, and they are great!  they also have a play it up collection, made to bring out your eyes with some color.  plus, you can buy them anywhere, or just look at the color and see what it inspires in you!

to make your eyes appear bigger, use a white eyeliner on your lower water line.

ps. i have found that white eyeliner is nearly impossible to find, but nyc sells it and you can get it at drugstores too.

If you use browns and pinks, they will make your eyes really stand out. To make your eyes look bigger, line your bottom lashes with eyeliner. Good luck!

golds and browns make blue eyes really stand out!  if you line the bottoms of your eyes with a light pink or white eyeliner, the look so much bigger. also, almay has kits of makeup to bring out certain color eyes.

your eyes can look a lot bigger and more awake if you have a good eyebrow shape for your face. id recommend getting your eyebrows waxed somewhere nice. aveda salons are great for waxing.

if you put a little white shadow directly under the arches of your eyebrows, your eyes look bigger too!

Hey, I have the same color eyes!!!  I like to use green or purple (light/medium green, and medium purple) with shimmer.

Highlight your brow bone because it'll work in making your eyes seem a bit more awake.  Also highlight the inside corner (just a dab) of your eyes to make that look wider and awake.

For eyeliner I suggest using black or gray to make your eyecolor pop!  That's what I use.  :)

If you have blond, short, or thin lashes, curl them and use a black mascara.

__________the reason for these colors if that to make your eyes pop your supposed to use opposite colors as your eyes. so no blues, greys or greens !!

to make your eyes look bigger apply the liner to only the outside bottom half of your eyes, then the upper outer half. if you have really small eyes eyeliner will make them look smaller - so use the same technique only use a thin line of eyeshdaow ( make sure to blend for both ! )

when applying eyeshadow, cover the entire lid and then @ the inner corner put a little eyeshadow thats lighter, it makes ur eyes look bigger

first ur eyes cant look bigger but i would prefer like a green or dark blue eyeliner and some mascara with maybe greenish eyshadow

Purple, copper, and neutral tones can help bring out the blue in your eyes.

In order to make your eyes look bigger, apply the shadow a little bit darker on the outer corners of your eyes and maybe glide on some eyeliner on your top eyelid and extend the line a little past the outer corner of your eye.

i have dark blue/gray eyes too! i like to use gold/brown or pink/purple eye shadows because it makes blue eyes pop. also to make my eyes look bigger i use eye liner on both top and bottom and then mascara on top and bottom and a good mascara is lash blast by cover girl or colossal volum' express by maybelline
