Make-up help and tips!?

Ok, I've been wearing make-up for almost three years, but I'm not that good applying it and I want to try and change up my make-up routine. So, here is what I need some tips on...

-If I'm really bad at applying eyeliner, what should I do? Also name some good brands.

-What is some good foundation to buy for beige skin? (Anything but Neutrogena and Covergirl, since they test their products on animals) Also, how much would it be? I'm only willing to spend about $10.

-What color eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner, lipgloss, blush, foundation, etc. looks good on grey eyes? I also have beige skin and light brown hair.

-What is some good chapstick that doesn't make the texture of my lips look bad?

-What is some good blush?

-Which is better: concealer or powder? Which covers up acne better?

-Where can you get good brushes for applying lipgloss, blush, and eyeshadow?

-About how much money would all of this stuff come out to?

Thanks so much. I really appreciate it!

  1. First of all you need to go to the store and find the shade of make-up that match your skin tone. Then you need to put on a light  coat first to see how it look . after you do that and it work for you you can put on a extra caot of make-up.

  2. well first of all...

-watch eyeliner videos on youtube(helps a lot)

-good foundations are about $15-$20 dollars try to use a light foundation that will not clog your pores and dont use a lot of it

-eyeshadow color Charcoal, cool brown and purple., mascara wet n' wild, eyeliner by chanel, lipgloss beauty rush by victoria secret, blush by nyc , foundation maybelline new york,

    -chapstick burts bees is amazing!

-idk about blush because i dont use it but try to use a light light pink

    - concealor that is green, sounds weird but it works just cover the green with founation

    -brushes from ulta are great

    - about $30-$60

i spent about $60 on all of my makeup but thats because the chanel eyeliner was $25 but it is totally worth it i got mine at macy's

  3. For eyeliner, I would use a pencil. Considering your colors, I would use a dark brown. Since you said that you aren't very good at applying it, I would make the pencil a little dull first and the apply it on your under eye, right on the rim of your eye, and try really hard not to apply too much because, trust me, it doesn't look good. I would skip the eyeshadow because it never really looks that good, but if you are insistant, go with a smokey gray a just apply a litttle right above the top rim of your eye, not all over your eyelid. For mascara, I would say use a dark brown, because, you have dark eyes, but light hair, so black would look too dark. For lipgloss a would go with a light pink gloss, not pasty lipstick. For blush I would go with a medium pink, not too peach, but not too rose. I dont think you really need concealer and foundation, so I would skip the foundation and go with both powder and liquid concealer. I would apply the liquid where you thikn you need it the most and then go over it with the powder, then finish it all of with a touch of bronzer on your cheeks, and a little on your chin and forhead. Im sure you can find some brushes with the same brand of makeup you choose. If you are not looking to spend a lot of money but want some good stuff you should go with the brand called- Wet n' Wild. Its cheap but its really really good. You can get all this stuff for about $30 if you decide to go with Wet n' Wild. You can find this brand at your local drugstore.

P.S. For chapstick, I dont think Wet, Wild carries that, but I use Burts Bees, which is sooooo soothing. I think its like $4 for a tube, but it is sefinaly worth it. You can find that at your local drugstore too.

If you follow my advice, I gaurentee that you will look great and well balanced.

I hope that I helped you

  4. first question-

if you are bad at using eyeliner than stay away from liquid liner which is very hard to apply. stick to an eye pencil that's very sharp so that it draws fine lines that you can build upon if you mess up. when you are applying eyeliner, do not stretch your eye out. just follow your lash lines. if you mess up just go over your line again. its okay if it gets thicker. i like maybelline, stila, and sephora eyeliners.

    second question-

maybelline foundations are very good. revlon has one that you can custom match. almay's smartshade products are very good too. most of these range between $9-15 from the drugstore. if you buy it at ulta, you can use their 20% off coupon that they send out often to members. its better than spending $30 at mac, though i prefer mac products because they last longer

    third question-

any color eyeshadow looks good with grey eyes. use black eyeliner and black mascara. pick a sheer pink lip gloss and a ballet pink colored blush so it gives you a natural flush. i also recommend revlons just bitten lip stains that you can use on lips and cheeks. it lasts longer and looks very natural.

    fourth question-

if you do not like the texture of your lips, exfoliate them. there are products like benefits dr. feel good or you can make a homemade scrub. just mix sugar and water and scrub on your lips. you can also use a wet wash cloth or your toothbrush. after exfoliating, apply a lip balm right away. i like softlips and cherry chapstick.

    fifth question-

i like clinique's blush. some other good drugstore brands are maybellines blush which has a mousse texture. almay's smartshade blushes are pretty too. revlon has pretty colored blushes too. stick to natural shades like light pink, bronzy pink, or a soft brown color

    sixth question-

concealer is mean to cover up blemishes. powder is mean to control shine and set concealer and foundation

    seventh question-

i like sephora's mini makeup brush sets. they range from about $10-15 and include everything you need from lip, concealer, blush, and eyeshadow brushes.

    eighth question-

depending on how good the deals you get are, it can range from about $20-$100. ulta always has deals for drugstore brands that are buy 2 get 1 free so you can save a lot of money that way. ask friends for any recommendations or check out makeup blogs that post reviews.
