Ok, so I'm currently 15, and I've never found a reason to wear makeup.... I have never really worn anything other than lip balm.

I got Asian skin.... a slight blackhead problem.... with an occasional zit.

I wanna know... if I wanted to start wearing make-up,

what are the basics that I would need?

mascara....eye liner (pencil or liquid?) what colour eye shadow... etc.

nothing too complicated. I want a sortta pretty look, kinda natural.

  1. Buy mineral makeup. It will give you a very natural look with just accentuating your natural beauty.

I would buy the starter pack, then add light pink gloss & black mascara.

Make sure to use moisturizer as a base, to smooth your skin.

Here is a great starter kit

  2. Get a mineral foundation, like Loreal Bare Natural and a shimmery bronzer, like Physicians Formula. Don't use too much, or dab your face with tissue after you put it on. I'd say if you even wear eyeliner, stick with a brown pencil and you should wear light shimmery eyeshadow. They have plenty of neautrals, pinks, and light brown shades for you to choose from. If you're already used to lip balm, just buy a light lipliner and use it with your favorite lip balm for a hint of color. Remember, a little goes a long way!

  3. Go to your local Merle Norman, if you have one, or Department store and they will help you with the colors. That all really depends on your eye color. But since you are just starting out I would go for the pencil eyeliner until you got the hang of that then maybe try the liquid if you would like. I personally dont like the look of liquid, but thats just me. And if you wanna go natural looking just stick to a lip gloss or VERY light shade of lipstick.

  4. You could get some cover-up but if you don't have dry skin or bad skin problems it probably isn't that necessary.

Get mascara and an eyelash curler because they can make your eyelashes look so big!

I'd recommend a liquid eyeliner...pencil is hard to erase.

Get a big thing of eyeshadow so you can wear different colors depending on your mood!

    Hope I helped!

  5. I suggest something light and waterbased.. possible a tinted moisterizer or a very light foundation - best not to wear foundation but if you want thats up to you.

I would suggest maybe a tinted moisturizer and a concealer to cover the blemishes

    lipgloss and mascara

anything more than that - it will make you age.

Try making 1 part your folal point - liner and shadwo then just lipgloss

if you go for a lipstick then tone down the eyes...

  6. you always want to go with your skin color. Since your skin is probably a lightish brownish, (just guessing cause u said you got asian skin), maybe get a light brown blush, for eyeshadow maybe....actually it doesnt really matter what color eyeshadow to be honest. I have whiteish-tanish skin and i usualy use a goldish/brownish color. I would definently recomend that you use lip gloss, i would also suggest that you use  either clear, or clear with sparkles in it. hope this helps!!!

  7. Concealer for the occasional zit.  Concealer doesn't cover up blackheads that well.  Get a green color to hide the red, and top that with your skin tone concealer.

Eyeliner.  Try using pencil as a beginner because you are just learning how to put it on, and liquid is pretty tough to put on.  Make sure to get one that isn't smudgeable and lasts long.  Try a brown or deep purple to compliment your skin tone.

Mascara.  I'm assuming you're Asian, so if I were you I'd wear some lengthening/thickening mascara.  You could choose either a brown/black or black.

Start off without any eyeshadow, because without it it gives a more natural look, and it's easier for school.

  8. mascara, pencil eyeliner is way easier to use cuz if the liquid ges in ur eyes it stings really badly!trust me!natural colours would look nice, try golds, browns.i dont use any foundation so if you have never needed to use it then dont.good luck!!

  9. maybeline concealer,

    mascara

    pencil eyeliner

    natural color eyeshadow.. (browns)

    foundation

    powder
