Make-up! need help with eyeshadow?

hi! my friends are coming over in 2 days and whenever they come i feel like a scruff-bag! they always look really glamorous, but in a way, tarty. they wear loads of make-up and i don't want to wear that much when I'm older. i haven't worn much before. only lip-gloss and a bit of mascara but i want to buy some eyeshadow. what colour would go with hazel eyes and if you know and good makes that are affordable please tell. thank you for advice. :)

first ppl that wear alot of make up just  feel insecure or have bad ane and u get bade acne by wearing make up. but i think a nice dark brown color would look good or very light orange trust me it will bring out a nautral glow.

Hazel eyes go really nicely with a gold/bronze/brown shimmer (as noted in a lot of posts previously). Lilacs, pinks, mauves, and Purples suit this eye colour as well.

The shape of the eye shadow, really depends on your hairstyle, eye shape and face-shape, and the overall look you are going for... I.E natural, glamourous, smoky, etc.

For a good start a couple of tri - colour eye-shadow palette (collection 2000 are good and inexpensive) the purple shades and the brown shades could be good for you. These are usually available from good pharmacies, boots and superdrug.

Buy a shadow compact with 3 shades of silver/grey/brown/pink, use the lightest colour just below your eyebrows, the middle colour on your eyelid and the darkest colour to make a line in the crease of your eyelid and you will look GORGEOUS!

You should look in places like boots and superdrugs, they normally do good cosmetics at a cheaper price than most brands.

ok well everyone's telling you to wear brown, or neutral so far. and for beginers i wouldn't tell you any different. if you have hazel eyes you should try for a lightish mediumish blue or green. maybeline new york has some pretty cheap.  when you put it on put it close to the bottom of your eye lid, then use your finger and spread it around. if there's too much smudge it some more, until you get your desiered look. don't put too much on. it's so much easier to put more on than it is to take some off. hope i helped you

U can look glamorous without a ton of makeup... if ur used 2 just mascara jus use an eyelash curler n try a mascara that will thicken ur lashes... make sure u do ur bottom lashes 2

Try a little bit of bronzer on ur cheeks and finish with a light pink lip gloss... u'll look totally hot without over doing it :-)

go for a brown/bronze colour! i think gosh are cheap and have nice colours. you can get it in superdrug, boots etc.

hey! beginners (like me!) should stick to natural browns, bronzes and golds. they give a great touch an dont look overdone. this tutorial is SOOOO helpful!!! i really hope it helps you!

if your skin tone is very pale don't go for a very pale colour - this is a mistake that LOTS of people make. Go for a brown twinset but stay subtle, put it on and then blend it off again - practice a couple of times. Use a good brush to apply a pale brown/beige all over the socket and then apply the darker up to your crease. The key is to blend it back out so it looks smooth and un-tarty.

Try a light brown and blend with a neutral color it will bring out your eyes. If your looking for something cheap try NYC or Maybelline.

i have hazel eyes, brown hair and pale skin, if your the same..then light browns, neutral shades, and light greens. Dont go dark, if your naturally pale.

If its during the day then go with some nice neutrals (browns, tans, and light pinks) but if you guys are going out at night you can get away with a little more color. I would go with either a nice navy or a brown on the full lid and a darker green on the lover lid. Those will just make your eyes pop! N.Y.C makes great and affordable makeup.
