Are there any other martial artist or mma practitioners preferably a muay thai, wrestling.

Ive been wrestling for my school and doing all kinds of free style and now its over, and i think its time to start getting back to martial arts.

Can anyone recommend anything to create a more powerful kick or punch.

and is there any wrestlers who can give me any tips on juicing up take down power other than alot of lower body work(im already working on it).

Last, is there any cardio freaks who can give me a good conditioning workout?

Thanks everyone

  1. in muay thai most of the power comes from the turing of the hip and hitting with the shin bone.

  2. its all about the snap

  3. For Powerful kicks: front kick get your whole body involved when your moving forward and trusting (your hips) forward. For the Side kick: turn your hip over at the end of the kick so you can drill your heel into your opponent while using the whole mass of your body to execute the kick.

  4. punching technique:

relax ur arm before striking. it may sound weird, but this increases ur speed and power, as ur muscles arent clenched tight.

    kicking:

turn ur body into it. pivot on ur feet, add the 2-7 cm rotation, and it does a lot more damage.

      good workout:

    5-10 min stretch.

4X25m sprint, 5 sec rest in between

    40 pushups

400m halfpace run (in 1min 30 secs or less)

    50 situps straight after

3X25m sprint, 3 secs rest in between

    30 pushups

    300m halfpace run (in 1 min 20secs, 1 min 30secs or less)

    35 situps

    10 chinups

100m sprint, rest for 10 secs ( sprint in less than 13 / 15 seconds)

    20 pushups

    30 situps

    5 chinups

    50m sprint

    5minute strech, cool down.

good luck in achieving ur goals :]

  5. when you give a fist punch you need to put your hole body in it (twist hip ,turn feet , rotate your fist). for low kicks ect to power comes out the hips ( watch youtube). Powertraining can help to and much of practise , experience .
