  1. Go to my computer and control panel, and change it to where the screensaver comes on after like 5 or 10 min of being idle, and then change it to where you have to put a password in to come back from the screensaver...

  2. First you need to set your user account to have a password.  With XP, go to start>control panel>user accounts and follow the on screen directions to put a password on the account.

Next, you need to adjust the screen saver settings.  Go to Start>control panel> appearance and themes> display> screen saver> and then change the wait time to 5 minutes, and check the box for on resume, password protect.

  3. Yes you can. Go into your screen saver settings.

    For Windows XP

Right click on your desktop and click "properties".

    For Windows Vista

Right click on your desktop and click "Personalise" (Or Personalize if your American) and then click "screensaver".

You will then see a box asking you how long the computer should wait before the screen saver is activated. Next to this is a box. tick this box. When you want to use the computer again, you will be prompted for your system user name and password (Assuming you have a password set).

  4. If it's windows the easiest way is right click on the desktop, go to display properties, choose screen saver and then set it to come on in 5 minutes and check the box to require your password.
