Evgeni Makeev has lamented Spartak Moscow’s below par league run and has assured the fans of altering the situation after winning the upcoming home game
Spartak Moscow will play the upcoming Russian Premier League match against Rubin Kazan at Luzhniki stadium on Saturday after their humiliating defeat against the defending champions, Zenit St. Petersburg, earlier this week.
Though the Moscow-based club conceded just one goal until the first half, they recorded their worst ever league defeat in the Russian championship after conceding four more goals in the second-half at Petrovsky stadium.
Though it was Spartak’s first defeat of the ongoing league campaign, Evgeni Makeev is furious at his side’s disappointing performance, saying that his side lacked self confidence and committed silly mistakes defensively and did
not play up to their strength against the St. Petersburg club.
Makeev told that the new head coach, Unai Emery, is not satisfied with the performances of the Russian outfit. The Spanish tactician terminated his contract with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 in order to join the Moscow-based club after Valery Karpin’s
shocking departure.
“I think we have learnt enough from the humiliating defeat. We have learned and analyze what happened to us that day. And now all my thoughts are on the upcoming game against Rubin. We are waiting for a tough game, in which we
will try to please our fans.”
“I our coach has made a detailed analysis of errors we made against Zenit and forbidden us to repeat those mistakes. However, each of us understands what we need to do next. I think its time when we need to show our fans that we
are capable of beating any team.” The Miguel Muñoz Trophy (Segunda División) winner was quoted as saying.
Makeev revealed that the upcoming match holds immense importance as the Kazan-based club are enjoying top form at the moment. The Tatary are yet to suffer a defeat since their 2-1 defeat against Krasnodar on the away turf last
month.
The Russian midfielder went on warn his team-mates prior to the match against Rubin, telling them that the Kamni are well disciplined and can cause a lot of trouble to their back-line.
