Makes me crazy!?

Question

Does it bother anyone else when people wear their "Go Green" t-shirts but they don't even bother to recycle? I hate the fact that most people are wearing the stuff just because it's a fad right now!

OH!!! Me, too!  Or those kinda shirts that aren't even made out of organic cotton, etc.  What is up with that, huh?  

It's good that its a fad, though.  Some are actually recycling.  Let's hope it is more than a fad, though.

Everyone has their own level. I have 2 cars that run only on natural gas (methane), which is way cleaner for the environment (and way cheaper to fill up) than regular gasoline-powered cars, but most people don't go that far or even are aware such cars exist. I can't hate every driver going down the road because of what they're driving, but I CAN help with awareness and do whatever I can to get the word out. At least the t-shirt people make others think about being green, which is a start. So, just do what you can and always try and step it up a notch further and see how it makes you feel personally!  :)

They do it so they can atract atenstion.. My friend does it cuz well she is big and the words "GO" and "GREEN" Just kinda POP out at you she does it for atentioon!!! >:( it gets me mad

Don't let it bother you.  Maybe one is wearing it but look at it this way...12 people are reading it and there is a possibility that 12 will go green.  Think of it as advertising and helping to remind people to do so.

Agreed. I try to do what I can, but in my area, I have never seen a community so wasteful. I traded in my big ole' car for one that gets over 35mpg vs. my old car's 23 mpg. I don't wear any t-shirts. I don't like to advertise what I do b/c I am not that vain. I let my actions speak for themselves.

God, I know!  I hate that.  I don't recycle because I have NO SPACE in my apt to do so and to be honest, I dont' even know where to take it in my apt complex.  Maybe I should inquire.  But I hate ppl who advertise and then don't practice what they preach!
