Question:

Makes you wonder if Chris Judd got away from the Eagles for this reason?

I wonder how much of Judds' decision was self preservation?

Do you think we might see any more WCE players jumping ship shortly or are they mostly tied up there?

I don't think it's a place I would want my son sent to for his AFL career!

Please don't report this if you don't agree, tell me here, don't go behind my back the cowards way!!!!!!!

  1. As I stated in another thread, in a round about way. Chris Judd is not an idiot, he is regarded as the best, and would have certainly jumped ship before his name was tainted.

In a local Melbourne Community  Paper, young Trent Cotchins' family are not happy that he could be on his way to the Eagles Nest.

After all, the west is a long way from Melbourne, so any family would not have a clue what was going on after dark with their offspring.

The AFL have a duty of care to young recruits who may get dazzled by the bright lights, and forget  momentarily just exactly what their role is; which is playing professional football for big bucks.

I am not sure what the set-up is regarding accommodation for players moving interstate, however years back a country lad would usually be placed with a reputable family in close proximity to the club, so that a home life could be replicated.

  2. i am sure thats why and dont forget he wants to play with a real footy team

    CARLTON

  3. Well I dont think he made his decision based on self-preservation, but I bet he is thanking his lucky stars now that he got out while he could!!!

Ahh Molly...you think WCE is the ONLY team to address the drug issue..WTF?

Maybe you are right...coz WC Eagles are the ONLY team with drug related problems.

  4. That is exactly what my wife had said. Could be the reason.

P.S molly every club would have been addressing the drug issue, not just WC.West Coast is NOT the only team to do this.

  5. In actual fact the Eagles is the only team I would let my son go to because they are the ONLY team to address the drug issue unlike the clubs who are ignoring the problem and are kidding themselves if they think their footballers are squeaky clean.

  6. Judd must have been jack of what was going on around him, so he got out. The Eagles must be a shambles, what about player welfare? If I had a son in the draft, I'd be praying like mad that he didnt end up in Perth (the other mob over there don't seem to have their act together either!)
