Since I'm going to high school I started thinking about more make up. What are a few big things you need when wearing make up? I go to Sephora, A LOT. Next time I go I just want to buy a few main things I need.

** What are products that I should have?

ex. eyeliner, mascara, eye shadow....**

&& Also, What color eyeliner would make my eyes appear bigger & pop out, I have dark brown eyes. [ Asian, But I'm tan]

  1. blush and foundation brush

    white liner

    mascara

    gold shadow

purple/brown/peach--these colors are great on any1

    I heart Sephora

    have fun

&BTW you can ask some1 that works there on there best sellers and stuff like that<3

  2. Go to you tube and write in makeup- they have a lot of videos about and how to put make up on. purple is a great color for brown eyes.

  3. I'm an asian freshman in high school too =)

    Here's what I wear:

    Mascara - Covergirl's Lashblast

Eyeliner ONLY ON THE TOP LID. - I use Sephora slim eyeliner in Black or Wet 'N' Wild Mega Eyes Liquid Liner in Black

Eyeshadow - Gold, or Bronze. I use Sally Girl Eyeshadow singles. You can find them at Sally's Beauty Supply for 99cents. Sometimes I wear green or purple.

    Lip Balm and Lip Gloss

Thats all. I never have to reapply during the day.

  4. Mascara and multi-purpose eyeshadows. An eyeshadow palette would be good so you can try out more of them and see what you like on yourself. I don't think eyeliner is needed as a beginner. Eyeshadow can often be used as eyeliner if you have the flat brush. I would also suggest concealer or foundation (used as concealer) if you have blemishes sometimes. I wouldn't suggest any lip products for a beginner except for some chapstick, but they are easy to apply and if you find a color you really like I'd go for it.

I think that dark eyeliner on Asian girls usually tend to make their eyes look smaller. Definitely don't put heavy dark eyeliner on your bottom lid.

  5. to make your eyes appear bigger and brighter it is best to use white eyeliner if you don't believe me do one eye with black and the other with white and you will see it does work i think the basics should be mascara, blusher and lipstick or a gloss have fun x

  6. Well for your age this is what i reccomend for a basic kit:

    concelaer

    lipgloss

    blush

mascara (this is what one item you can get at the drugstore and it will still be fantastic quality.)

    eyesahdow

    eyeliner

For eyeliner I would reccomend a brownish plum.

    Good luck!

  7. If your asian (like me) I would suggest you use black eyeliner for the top eyelid. At the bottom you can experiment and use different colours like brown, blue etc. I think you got the eye makeup list right you could throw in a eyebrow pencil and a brow highlighter but then again those are for the full occasional look but do try them out as a beginner. But never forget something on the lips, avoid lipstick as much as possible and keep to a simple lipgloss especially if your doing a look for school. Remember your features should stand out and not your makeup!!! Good Luck

  8. If you want your eyes to appear bigger any colour eyeliner would work, but i suggest Black Eyeliner. Apply your eyeliner to half your eye if you want them to Appear bigger.

  9. I like purple, gold, brown, or green eyeshadows on brown eyes.

As for basic makeup, you should get concealer (for dark circles, pimples, etc. - if you need it), a pressed powder compact that you apply all over your face (over the concealer), blush, bronzer, eyeshadow, and mascara.

I really like the Benefit brand at Sephora, and if you can afford it, try Dallas (a blush) or Hoola (a bronzer). I also really like Highbeam and Moonbeam by Benefit, but they're not really basic makeup, they are more of a splurge.

  10. i would start wearing: eyeliner (a charcoal, grayish, or brown color

would go good with your eyes)

                                    mascara

                                    lipgloss (any kind)

if you wanted you could wear eyeshadow (tanish, or brownish color)

    hope this helps you out.

    Hope it helps!

  12. well some places do actually do make-up trials and you get to see what make-up looks best on you.  but for the basics i would suggest:

nice mascara (don't go for the cheap stuff as it runs, makes your eyes itch) remember to date your makeup and if you have an eye infection or anything chuck it in the bin.  when you have had your make-up over 6 months especially things that are going near your eyes it's best to reinvest in another one as they grow germs inside and hurt your eyes.  dark brown eyes look stunning with emerald greens, exotic blues, golds...

Eyeliners don't usually make your eyes look bigger they make them look smaller, but they do draw attention to your eyes.

i would suggest a nice light foundation and a blemish concealer.

Also i wpuld suggest when using any make-up get a good cleansing routine, use it twice a day.  Simple have a wonderful set for younger skin and contains no artificial colours and you can get it for dry skin, oily skin or combination skin.

The fact is this is the best time, you get to experiment and make mistakes.  Make-up is about expression and your own taste. check out some magazines and check out your favourite tv stars you think look like you.

  13. First of all, unless you break out often there is no need for any powder or foundation. A good concealer will do you just fine. Also I have medium brown eyes and purple REALLY brings them out. I use purple eyeliner, light and dark purples work best.Volumizing mascara will do your eyes wonders to make them look bigger, oh and if your lashes are short buy one that offers volume+length. Lastly a nice peachy/pink blush will make your skin glow. Good luck!

  14. Usually dark purple or eggplant color eyeshadow brings out brown eyes.  You can also use that eyeshadow as liquid eyeliner by using an angled brush and dipping it in water.. it works great.  Also (I think its Cover Girl) has a product specially made for your eye color.

I would suggest black eyeliner and mascara because it looks good on most everyone.  powder and foundation is good too (I use Maybelline dream matte mouse.  Just apply it with your fingers or buy a sponge applicator)

  15. I'm asian too. Hah.

Well I don't know exactly what color eye shadows your should get.

But a white eyeliner on your waterline makes your eyes bigger.

  16. Black mascara, eyeliner and eye shadow.

    Powder cover-up.

  17. blush

    black eyeliner

dark purple eyeliner brings out brown eyes

    max factor volume couture mascara

green and purple eyeshadow brings out brown eyes, just look at the almay makeup section, they tell you what looks best with brown eyes. good luck.
