I have a (formal) long, satin bright-ish red dress that I am wearing tomorrow, and I looking for help with makeup, ie eyeshadow color, techniques, etc. I have blue eyes, slightly red skin, and long dirty blond hair. Thanks!

  1. Don't go overboard! It sounds like your dress is very bold so don't let your face clash with it!

Try wearing a light foundation and bronzer (to brighten up pasty skin) and minimal eye makeup. I wouldn't wear any bright colours with such a bright dress, try either a natural beige or taupe with a darker brown eyeliner (ABOVE your lashline NOT on the inside of your eye) or a warm grey eye shadow. I'd go for a peachy nude lipgloss or a sparkly nude lipstick to keep the minimal look. If you want to add a bit of extra drama to your eyes, don't do it with colour, try false eyelashes. They can look really glamourous if you keep everything else simple and natural, especially with a glamourous red dress like yours!

  2. the first step is to use a foundation that match your skin.

then you start with an pink eyeshawdon, and maybe a brown or black mascara.

you can put the eyeliner on the lowerlid.

you can put a light pink and red blush.

maybe a lipgloss if your lip is kind of red. if not, then put a lipsticke then lipgloss.
