I am new at using makeup, i look just like in the picture, same hair, and such, (blond hair, dark blue eyes, oh, and i have a big nose, lol)

I was looking for good mascara, lip gloss (a nice tinted clear shiny one, i was looking at the mark kind, thats kinda two sided, so talk to me about ur thoughts on that), foundation/bronzer, (i want it to match with the coverup), conciler/coverup, eyeliner (a good one that has a thin line to it, no goth girl please) and eyeshadow (idk what color makes my dark blue eyes pop against my 'fair' colored skin -i read that my skin is fair to beige in a magazine-lol).

i am gonna be in high school, so dont say im too young, i dont want a big goth look, i want a nice suttle, sweet school girl look, so no crazy lip gloss colors,

i really need help, thanks

you all are great for helping me with this! oh and tip on how to apply and how to make it look good are greatly appricated too!

  1. start with covergirl mascara, its in an orange tube. and some brown covergirl eyeliner, the self sharpening works the best, as for gloss, that doesnt matter as much, just watever you like. put on the eeliner firt, right on the line of your top and bottom eyelashes then put about two or three swipes of mascara on ur top lashes and one small swipe on ur bottom, repeat on both eyes.

as for concealer, you dont really need any, but feel free to use a small amount of subtle blush to highlight cheek bones.

    hope this helps!!

    mine??

  2. Neutral looks are perfect for someone starting out, because it is hard to go wrong and can make you look flawless without looking over made-up!

The basic things you will need:

    - A brown mascara:

A good one is Rimmel London's 'Glam'Eyes' which I have 2 tubes of, brown-black and waterproof - which I use every day! It is also a good price, especially if you don't wanna go crazy with cost on your first things. However, I would recommend asking your friends and trying different ones out.

    - Brown eyeliner

BarryM do good eyeliners that have nice colours - I think they do a brown too. Go for one that is soft enough to put on the colour easily, but not so soft that it just makes you panda eyed!

    - Clear lip gloss

Anything will do for this one. Even something like a lip balm is good, because it looks nice and natural and will condition your lips. The body shop do nice lippies.

    - Foundation or even a tinted moisturiser will do

Foundation helps to even out your complexion, not change it! MAKE SURE you get matched for the right shade. Not orange, not too pale! A nice moisturising one will make your skin feel very soft!

    - A subtle blush/bronzer that suits your skin tone (go to a store to get matched)

After putting on foundation, your skin can look a little flat so put a small amount of a subtle blush/bronzer on your cheeks for definition.

    - Brushes!

Nothing is worse than having to put on makeup with your fingers! It will make your skin greasy unless you get a good set of brushes to apply it with. You generally get what you pay for with these, I recommend the body shop or even M.A.C.

    -Eyeshadows.

One lighter colour and one darker colour (for you, browns will be best for now) helps to give definition in your eyes. Apply the lighter shadow all over your eyelid, to just above the crease of your eye (it sounds nasty, but its where you can feel your eye socket if you touch your eyelid) See the sources in this reply with where to apply the darker shadow and the sorta shape (like a sideways V, in a way)

I hope this helps! The number one rule when putting on makeup is to put it on layer by layer, building it up so you don't have too much! Remember to take a step back and look at the whole picture.

  3. MASCARA

1.-I suggest you use MAC. Zoom Lash Black Mascara it will make your blue eyes pop!

Tip: Apply it to you upper and lower eyelashes after you apply eyeshadow, using a eyelasher curler after to hold them up and make them look good =)

    LIP GLOSS

    2. - I suggest that you use A light Pink Lip Gloss From Mac for a cute subtle look

Tip: Apply your lip gloss to your bottom and top lip and press your lips together for a good look =)

    FOUNDATION

    3. - I think that Revlon soft flex foundation is great, it makes your face look even without leaving lumpy spots, and it feels soft and comfortable, unlike some foundations which feel like inches of plastic.

Tip: put a small amount of foundation on your fingers, and rub in on your face, do as needed around your face untill you have even look. (Do this before you put on mascara, lip gloss and eye shadow.)

    BRONZER

    4. A Revlon Powder Bronzer will leave with you with a cute natural sun kissed glow :)

Tip: Apply your Bronzer very lightly all over your face and a slight bit darker over your cheeks after you apply your foundation for that cute sun kissed glow ;)

    COVER UP

    5. Wet "n" Wild conciler sticks, work great I know you said you wanted your cover up to match your Foundation and Bronzer, but as long as you get the same color youll look great :)

Tip: Rub on the area you would like to cover up, and then rub in with your fingers.

    EYELINER

    6. A suggest Avon luxurious eyeliner, its soft, comes in multiple colors,( i would suggest black to go with your black mascara) and looks great.

Tip: Apply to the line of skin leading into your eyes (above your bottom eyelashes). After youve aplied your mascara :)

    EYE SHADOW

7.I suggest MAC eyeshadow, its called, Shroom its a light beige color and its kind of shimmery =) if you think its to subtle, i would go with a dark blue like the color of your eyes, and you should get the Shroom too.

TIP: Apply the Shroom or Dark Blue on your eyelids, and apply the shroom, under neath your eyebrow, and under your bottom eye lashes, and soften it with your fingers after youve put on your foundation and bronzer, and before you put your mascara and eyeliner on.

In case i was kind of confusing with my order in which you should apply your make up will say it here (sorry iif i was confusing)

    1.Foundation

    2.Bronzer

    3.Cover Up

    5.Eye Shadow

    6.Mascara

    7.Eye Liner

    8. Lip Gloss

I Really hope this helps, I'd also like to say that theese products are all not tested on animals, and to remember when you are buying make up to make sure it is not animal tested i hope this helps =)

  4. If you are completely new to make-up, i suggest, you don't do everything. I wouldn't use bronzer and eyeliner. Right away. Start of with some brown mascara, a sheer lip gloss, and a brown eyeshadow. Make sure it snt to dark.

  5. Mascara- Cover Girl Lash Blast, in the fat orange tube is amazingly amazing. It never clumps, and stays on all day.

Lip Gloss - I'm not sure what the mark is, but I love Victoria Secret's Beauty Rush. The shade 'Lotta Colada' would look good on you, + it taste like pina colada's! :D

Foundation - Eh, I don't really use it alot, but Mary Kay's are good. And I top for putting it on - Squeeze it onto the 5 major points on your face( two cheeks, nose, forehead and chin) and then get a big brush, wet it, and rub in the foundation, so it's even, a thin layer, and not caked on.

Eyeliner - Cover Girl Perfect Point Plus, or Out Last Smooth Wear are good, and they create thin or think lines, dpepending on which you want. I would get a brown or gray color.

Eyeshadow - A Pale blue, purple, or pink would look good with your eyes, and maybe a shimmery white ?

    Hope I could help :)

  6. Just experiment and have fun with your makeup. Maybe ask your friends if something looks okay before you leave the house.

Check out www.markgirl.com for some great video tutorials.

  7. well for cover up;use a tinted moisturizer, eny brand really as long as is not supper cheap cuz then it will be bad.then if you want to use eye shadow instead of a powder use a cream shadow i also have blue eyes and i've found that pinks really look good with blue eyes.then you can use a liquid eye liner for the top to do the winged look.don't use bronzer if your starting off cuz it will be hard to make it all match you might get a different color on you neck or dirty your clothes lol it happened to me.and then for lip-gloss you can use a cover girl light pink lip gloss.

for the first day of school you could do

a medium pink on the whole eye, then a darker

pink on the crease and a shimmery white on the brow bone

and just use the tinted moistreser in your face and some

blush to make ccontrastand take the eyes off you"big nose"

lmaoo and just a light pink lip gloss!!

    hope i helped.

    here are some good brands.

    shadow:l'oreal,cover girl,m.a.c

    tinted moistreser:m.a.c,cover girl,wet and wild.

    mascara:m.a.c;l'oreal.maybeline.

    eyeliner:deff m.a.c every other makes

    a crease or smudges!
