Makeup on overnight??

Question

Am i able to keep eyeliner on overnight? I kept it on accidentally last night and when i woke up, i loved the look of my eyeliner. Its the look i was going for. Is it harmful for me to keep solid eyeliner on overnight?

yes but it may clock your pores and stuff up and cause eye infections, best not to do it everyday.

Anything on your skin overnight, prevents your skin from doing what it loves to... breathe!

Over night the body re-energises itself, this includes your skin.

Once in a blue moon, leaving your eyeliner on wont hurt too much but preventing your eye area from getting the proper 'shut eye' it needs may lead to itchy eyes, early lines and dry areas. All cosmetics contain chemicals and astringents(apart form the pure mineral types).... when left on the skin, they wont do you any favours!

also... dont you wash on a morning lol x

u can ge the same look by getting an eyliner with a smoker

eyeliners with smokers are around 5-8 dollars

eye liner isn't bad to wear overnight but anything else can seriously clog your pores. the only concern with eye liner is that it may get all over your pillow. another thing is that you should wash your face in the morning so doesn't that take the eye liner off?

no..but mascara is..it can get into your eys and make it infected...eyeline is a + though...

Nothing bad will happen for one night.

But if you do have sensitive, easily irritable eye area, you have to remove it daily.

Eye pencils contains light wax to allow the pigment to move.

The light wax can provide itself as food for bacteria.

Liquid or gel liners contain pigment and products that can also feed the bacteria.

Without proper cleansing of eye liners or mascaras, bacteria will multiply and increasing your risk of eye infections.

The look you love from the overnight application was a trend look in 2005/2006.

A trick to do that look is to use a eye liner pencil and draw the shape out.

Using your ring finger or a Q-tip/cottonbud, gently run through on the eyeliner, slightly smugding it.

If you're using liquid or gel liner, you can do the same thing but with a more gentle stroke of your finger, rub it out to soften the line.

i never take my makeup off. i did fora while but i ran out of remover, then i noticd it just kinda wears off overnight. sumtimes i re-apply sumtimes i dont.

I like that smokey look too! I guess that you can every once and a while. but for an everyday look I prob wouldn't do it every night. I like to feel clean when I go to bed. ummm. But I thinkI know what you're talking about. I'd put on some eyeliner, kinda smudge it around to get it looking smokey, and then put it on again closer to the eye.

maybe you don't use the same eyeliner I do. That'd  make it more difficult.

once in a while its fine. just dont leave makeup on your face as it will clog ur pores and give you pimples.

It can increase the risk of developing conjunctivitis (or pink eye). But when I go out on weekends, I frequenlty forget to take my eyeliner off so it isn't harmful. But you wouldn't want to do it all the time!

psh i do it all the time, leftover makeup looks cool. but you shouldn't leave it on every night. expecally mascara it will weaken your eyelashes!

I definitely have tried that before. The look is awesome but the effects could be damaging to your eyes because your eyes are very easily infected and the bacteria can harm them.

no, because i do it every night and day. Almost 3 years that i keep eyeliner on overnight but nothing happen in my eyes and it looks fabulous.

its not harmful, i do it all the time.

just make sure that you wipe off some of it under your eyes, it can make you look like you have dark circles.

i don't think that it is harmful, because I've done it many times and i haven't had any bad experiences .

Well really sleeping with any kind of make up is bad

for your skin. One becasue it might make you brake

out and such other things. But eyeliner i don't think it

might be that much of a big deal. I keep my eyeliner

on almost all the time and i also like the look it gives

you; like its a tad bit smudged in the bottom. I say

just don't get use to sleeping with it; becasue that

really is a bad habit.

I do sometimes because I'm too tired and fall asleep early. I have crappy eyesight anyway (I don't wear glasses or contacts even though I'm supposed to) so I can't tell you if it will effect your eyes the next day. Since pencil smudges I would say that's probably a lot worse for you that liquid that's just on top of your eyelid because that won't be getting into your eye. I have never woken up with any spots on my face.

every once and a while yes, just make sure you clean your face when you wake up. sometimes when you sleep in eyeliner or maskera you can get littel bubbles on the rim of your eyelids. they make your eyes sting a little but they're normal... cleaning your face before bed is the best way to go.

get some eye makeup remover htat isnt ily and just keep it near your bed with a package of cotton balls. its easy and off in a flash.

I guess that once in a blue moon it wouldn't harm but if you do it often it is not good and you will get spots all over your face.
