sorry for that long question thing - yahoo answers sed that my question was too short =[

anyways i was wondering what kind of makeup product is a must have? like one that like if u were only allowed to have that one, it would be it. like eyeliner, foundation, mascara, etc.

and what brand too?

WHAT is the best eyeliner brand?

i defintiely want a shimmery one and a pretty subtle one

im leaning towards the MAC eyeliner pencil

is this a good choice? is there a better one?

Umhat is hard I use it all =] Probably either eyeliner-Avon or foundation-Covergirl for my must have.

I havent tried the MAC eyeliner. I have Avon which is good but its thin. I have also heard Maybelline is good. I havent heard off MAC. I live in New Zealand so Im not sure if they have it over here.

For my one product I would pick Prescriptives foundation because its not greasy, I covers really well without clogging, and it has a pale enough colour for my skin.

For eyeliner, rather than going expensive with MAC, I like GOSH eyeliners and Barry M, because they are cheaper and they have bright colours and more everyday ones. Have a look at them!

1. If you have uneven skin tone or not the greatest skin, i'd say Foundation.  If you have good skin, I'd say Mascara.

2. Mac has an amazing eyeline if you want one that is waterproof.  It is liquid liner and comes in a variety of colors.  It won't come off in the ocean or pool!!!  You can remove it with an oil based remover.

If you want a shimmery one, get Trucco's liquid liner.

3. I find Macs pencil eyeliner dry, although Trucco has an amazing one that is sooo soft and easy to apply!  You can find Trucco in Trade Secrets or hair salons.  Worst case, try lóreal i used to use it and it goes on pretty well.

I always use MAC and some of CLINIQU~, also I tried DIOR SHOW mascara which is great....I would also advie you to visit SEPHORA store and they can suggest you some stuff you like :) it's not cheap in there, but they have good brands, so they should help :)

if i couldnt have anything else i'd probably hold onto my mineralize skinfinish from MAC. but i can't imagine living without any of my makeup! i love it all!

MAC's feline (the kohl power pencil) is amazing, its the best longest lasting waterline pencil ive ever used. its worth the money because the pencil itself is very long and very long lasting so theres no need to re-apply. it will last you a long time i highly recommend it.

i think the alamay eyeliner works best with the built in sharpener and if i could oonly have one type of make up (yea right) it would be mascarar or coverup!!!! the coverup i use is the maybeline matte mousse stuff ~ i think they say its a concelear or something but its works perfectly for under the eyes and over those blemishes. as for mascara i like the stuff in the pink and green bottle and the green mabyeline stuff i forget all the names im tireddd :) night night

If I'm allowed to have one , it will be a toss-up between Lip balm & mascara.

Loreal Mascara (Lash architect) / MAC Zoomlash

If you want a shimmery eyeliner , choose Bourjois Duochrome Eyeliner

Another good choice is MAC powerpoint

For basic daily wear use Revlon colourstay in Black & Blackbrown

Well for best eyeliner hands now is Avon ultra luxury eyeliner, i prefer the black.  you barely need to sharpen it and it lasts forever and there is no need to really apply it and you never never Never need to take a lighter to it and get it hot the color is always rich.

As for cover up i use to use liquid foundation but i got sick of it. its messy and i now prefer mineral powder from maybeline . try it. youve got nothing to lose

laura mercier primer and bare minerals makeup. all of it, except for the mascara. clinque makes a mascara with a comb on one side that is excellent. people always ask me if i have on fake eyelash b/c mine look so long when i use it. bare minerals also has a lip gloss called buxom it come in a variety of colors and has a lip plumper in it. (this one honestly works) plus my boyfriend says it taste good so thats a def. plus. :)

Mac is great, but i think you should still try smashbox. but if it's one of your first eyeliners then go with mac.

EYELINER

i'm a big eyeliner junkie

i LOVE funky colored liners! because then you could smudge them and BAM you have a shadow haha

colored ones i have from urban decay (24/7 glide on) make up for ever (aqua eyes) and a lot of the MAC ones (kohl power, power point, fluid lines)

to me they're all of the same quality but MAC is the cheapest pricewise. the other two have some colors MAC doesn't have so it really depends on what you're looking for. they're all waterproof and have the same staying power

all really good liners and have a bunch of colors to pick from =]
