  1. Pick up the phone.

    Call the store.

    Ask them.

  2. 3 months is a long time for makeup to return either way. this is what you can do, take the one item you want to exchange and tell them you bought it lastweek and that you want to do a return. im sure they still sell the same makeup and the upc code is the same. if you cant get a return, settle for an exhange or a store credit at the least. to make it more effective, try to return it in a macys bag as if you still had the original. this makes it more effective.lol..ive done this alot when i havent had the receipt. if the bottle is dirty, clean it so it looks brandnew...this is alot but people are so uppity when you want to do a fair exchange, especially at the makeup counter..

from now on, go to Sephora, they except returns without any drama. or if you really like Macys, keep the receipt in a drawer or bag so you can always go back to it. i have receipt jar I keep just in case:)

if you call the store, its too easy for them to say no!!

  3. its 30 days and you have to have the receipt.

i hate macy's. buy makeup from sephora or nordstrom.

  4. I know that the general return policy at Macy's is 6 months, you don't have to have the receipt (although having it ensures 100% that you'll get all your money back). You can try making the return at a different counter (say, in clothing). Some associates would accept it without much thought, some might send you down to the make-up counter. It all really depends on how strict about returns a particular Macy's is.
