Makeup suggestions??

Ok I used to use covergirl ultimate finish liquid powder makeup but even the lightest shade was too dark for my skin and turned my skin orangish. Then I tried some maybelline Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Concealer and I bought the lightest shade and then I did what it said put it on my blemishes and patted it in and my skin absorbed it!! I am thinking of using Dream Matte Mousse from Maybelline to cover my blemishes, do you think this will work for me??

I can't get a job and my family is having some money problems so I can't ask my parents for more money so please don't suggest expensive makeup, drugstore makeup will work just fine!!

Thanks!!

  1. according to my wife here, you need to get a concealer that is just a step lighter than your skin complexion.

If your skin is more asian, you need to get something with a yellow tint.  Do not be too skimpy on your concealer specially if your skin absorbs it.  (perhaps due to dry skin or big pores)

For your foundation, wifey said to stand in a natural light (or white light) then find the foundation that is closest to your jawline.

If you can try, smear a sample across your jawline and see which one is the best that somewhat "disappears"

  2. I think your skin sounds terribly sensitive. As difficult as this sounds the best thing is to stay away from make-up... trust me! I too have sensitive skin... if possible see a dermatologist asap.If you do have sensitive skin then don't use make-up with oils because they tend to give you more pimples... well blocks your pores more.If you're going for something to cover your blemishes then... try using water when blending in the concealer so you can reduce the color change in your skin, it gives it a bit more realistic look. If i were you however don't try makeup on your blemishes bc they can actually worsen them it think.

  3. The Dream Matte Make-up actually does work very well especially when you are working with a budget.  It gives the skin a sort of air-brushed look and goes on very smoothly.  And a little goes a pretty long way.

For the future though, I would definitely look into Bare Minerals.  I have a few friends that are very fair skinned and their colors work great on them.  Just for future reference though... something to look forward to in the future.
